![]() So lets run a script instead of a symlink when we connect a printer: This line identifies the printer and shows me which lp device I need to use. In dmesg I found the following line: usblp 2-1.2.4:1.0: usblp0: USB Unidirectional printer dev 34 if 0 alt 1 proto 2 vid 0x03F0 pid 0x1104 I found that using udev to symlink the printer did not work, it made a symlink to something in /dev/bus/usb which did not work for printing with p910nd. ![]() We need to point p910nd to the printers, the problem is that the printers are created under /dev/usb/lp0 or lp1 depending on the order at which the printers are plugged in. I have 2 printers, an HP and a Brother.įirst install p910nd via apt install p910nd. ![]() I wanted to share 2 printers from my debian server, this file contains my notes from that process. ![]()
